Urinary Diseases { मूत्ररोगाः }
In Ayurveda, conditions affecting the kidneys and urinary tract are termed Mutravahasrota Roga (मुत्रवाहस्रोत रोग), and those affecting the urethra and bladder are known as Mutraghata (मूत्राघाथः). These conditions are caused by aggravated Vata Dosha and can be treated with the help of Mutravirechana(मुत्रविरेचन diuretics), which balance the downward flow of the Vata dosha to stimulate the flow of urine. Ayurveda treatment can cure Urinary tract infections (UTI)[मुत्रकृच्छ्र Mutrakricchra], Prostate enlargement [मुत्रष्ठीला Mutrashtheela], Kidney Stones[अश्मारी/ मूत्रश्मारी Ashmari/Mootrashmari], Urinary incontinence [वात कुण्डलिका Vatakundalika], haematuria (seeing blood in urine)[अधोग रक्तपित्तः adhoga raktapitta] etc. When followed consistently, Ayurvedic treatments can serve as effective, natural solutions for maintaining urinary health and kidney function.

Note: Modern Medicine focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases, while in Ayurveda, the treatment for the
same disease can differ significantly for each person, because Ayurveda focuses on balancing the body, mind, and spirit by considering the
individual’s constitution (Prakriti), imbalances (Vikriti), and the interrelationship between the body and the environment hence
Ayurveda, the treatment for the same disease can vary for different individuals.
