General Instructions for Inpatients
To help us serve you better and ensure a smooth stay, please follow these important hospital guidelines:
- Lifestyle and Conduct: Smoking, alcohol consumption, and non-vegetarian food are strictly prohibited within the hospital premises. Mobile phone use is not allowed in restricted zones, such as treatment rooms. Please operate phones, tablets, and laptops quietly and responsibly to avoid disturbing fellow patients. Free Wi-Fi is available on request; however, using electronic gadgets is at your own risk.
- Valuables and Personal Belongingst: Please do not bring jewellery, large amounts of cash, or other valuables to the hospital. Storage space is limited, so avoid bringing large bags and suitcases. If you must bring valuables, kindly hand them to the reception desk for safekeeping. You will receive a receipt, and your items will be returned upon discharge, subject to office hours.
- Bystander Policy: Only one bystander is allowed in a patient's room after visiting hours, while two bystanders are permitted for bedridden patients. A bystander must always be present with the patient; if not, please inform the nursing station immediately. Additionally, only female bystanders are allowed in female wards.
- Visiting and Security Guidelines: Entry to inpatient wards is restricted after 9:00 p.m., and hospital security may check bags and request ID anytime.
- Medication and Billing: The hospital provides all medications and consumables, and outside medicines are not permitted unless approved by the Hospital Superintendent. Patients must pay for medicines at the time of purchase from the hospital pharmacy and should retain pharmacy bills until discharge. Unused medicines can be returned with a valid bill.
- Use of Facilities and Waste Management: Please conserve electricity and water during your stay. Hot water is available from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kindly dispose of waste in the designated waste baskets. Throwing waste out the window is strictly prohibited and subject to fines.
- Medical Reports: Medical reports can be collected daily between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (except Sundays and public holidays).
- Insurance: Patients with health insurance must contact the insurance counter on the day of admission.
- Feedback: Please speak with the Public Relations Officer for feedback, suggestions, or complaints. You can also help us improve our services by filling out the feedback form provided by the ward nurse or the admission counter.
- Important Health Notice: If you or your bystander develops symptoms like cough, cold, fever, diarrhoea, or vomiting within three days of admission or has been exposed to infectious diseases like COVID-19 or chickenpox, please notify us immediately so we can take appropriate precautions.
